New Vision For HOV    

    Housing Our Veterans has kicked off a new campaign to help the housing crises in Eugene.

  Over the past few years we have tried to come up with a innovative way to not only help house the homeless individuals in our community but help employ, educate, connect to resources and most of all help rebuild their self esteem.  Our goal is to acquire a property that will assist with housing, a restaurant , a bakery, coffee shop, thrift store, as well as a auto care shop all open to the public. We will be giving the residents an opportunity to be employed, trained, and housed. This will help to get them on the right path to being independent. This will give them the skills and training they need to become productive citizens in the community. This plan will help up to 250 individuals at a time. It will be a 6 month to a 2 year program depending on each individuals case. There are several low income residents waiting for housing and living on the streets until something comes available. That's where our program will help fill that gap. There will also be a drop in center to shower, wash their cloths, case management and much more. The best thing about this program is everything you need to help your homeless situation  will be all in one area with easy access to several resources.
